Racial/Ethnic Discrimination and Health: Findings From Community Studies

The journal article addresses Racial/Ethnic discrimination and fitness by reviewing different empirical pieces of proof from studies. The findings indicate that there is a relation between discrimination and poor health reputation especially mental health. This journal article focuses on perceived discrimination as a stressor that adversely affects health status of the victims. This medical journal has extensive lookup and data about macro stressors, acute and chronic discrimination which show the unfavourable effects of discrimination on an individual’s health. The article captures crucial aspects that explain America is made up of the society with the minorities included, and racism or any other form of discrimination does not only affect individuals but the society as a whole. The information from this article is beneficial as it points out the setbacks racism brings to a nation.
