Quality management as a competitive advantage

A competitive edge over other companies in the business is given to the company through quality management. Additionally, it helps in determining how much achieved measurements deviate from ideal criteria. Estimation balanced scorecards and Pareto charts are two examples of quality metrics that can be utilized in JIT.
The project manager, the plant manager, the human resource manager, and the security manager are the individuals needed to complete the project. A staffing management strategy makes sure the project manager has the right team members to work with on-going and for specific tasks.

A project team can use various strategies to enhance communication. First, planning regular meetings is important to ensure that each team player is at par with the rest. The meetings should be concise and not be more than an hour to allow ample time for working through sending agendas before the meetings. The circulars should be sent to everyone to ensure inclusion of all people. A good leader should remain respectful and communicate formally to all players as noted by Cheung, & Yiu, (2014). Also, online communication tools would help and save on time. Emails, video conferencing and online platforms can be used to share information.

Planning for stakeholder engagement may involve alerting the stakeholders of the meeting on time and also the agendas. This is important as it saves time through avoiding discussions that are not geared towards the goals. Also, each person is prepared with the required information pertinent to that discussion. I plan to work with difficult stakeholders by striving to remain on the agendas strictly and avoiding emotional reasoning by remaining firm and composed.

This statement is true as risks at times are not regarded as part of the project, and some project managers assume that with proper planning, then the activities will run as scheduled. Identifying and ranking risks is important as it helps in coming up with risk mitigation measures to reduce the possible adverse effects of probable risks (Kerzner, 2013). That reduces the costs of dealing with risks should they arise. For instance, with risk ranking, one can insure a project against natural calamities if they are prevalent in a region. Thus, continuity of a project is almost guaranteed even in the event of a risky situation.
