The first step in this model is to pose a query. This entails transforming a desire for awareness (about prognosis, prevention, causation, diagnosis, and therapy) into an answerable query. The second step is to locate the facts or data needed to answer the query (DiCenso et al., 2014). This phase entails locating the information that can be used to answer the posed query. The third step is to objectively evaluate the proof or facts. This means that the evidence is now supposed to be critically appraised to determine its validity (nearness to truth), applicability (helpfulness in the innovative practice), and impact (effect size). The fourth step is the integration of the appraised evidence with own clinical know-how and the preferences of patients. The fifth and last step is evaluation (DiCenso et al., 2014). This step involves evaluating our efficiency and effectiveness in executing the above steps and looking for means of improving them both for the time to come.
