Therefore, fire protection measures are mandatory as they enhance the safety of this humongous investment.
Fire-Suppression System
This institution has excellent and well-functioning fire-suppression system comprising of pipes, fittings and specialties, fire department cabinets, fire protection valves, Alarm devices, pressure gauges, control panels, fire department horse connections, manual control sections, and fire department connections free standings. There exists a strong relationship between the fire and plumbing departments of Germantown Bioscience Education Center. The alarm devices are strategically located on the campus to enable the staff and students to sound them whenever there is a fire incident ("Maps & Directions | Montgomery College"). Most horse connections are connected to water sources within the institution with pressure gauges to assess the pressure levels of the water within the system. Fire extinguishers are also stationed in proximity with the classrooms, wet laboratories, conference halls, and offices.
Preventive Maintenance
Regular planned preventive maintenance is done on the fire suppression system after commissioning. The suppliers of the fire equipment must first set up and test the equipment, coordinate training, verify the performance of the equipment, and document the various tests, procedures, and installations before handing over the systems to the institution's fire department.
