nature and art

I have opted to use commonplace human interactions to highlight the idea of art and nature. The artwork is metaphorical as well as literal. Two individuals go for a nature walk. They both seem to have vibrant sentimentalities. One falls in a hole because they are so focused on their conversation that they fail to notice the road. The victim relaxes in the hole as the colleague promises to help by getting a ladder. He eventually gets wrapped up in a snake since the assistance is delayed. Humans and snakes have long been adversaries, and the confined man finds it impossible to imagine living side by side with the animal. He exploits his often latent abilities that eventually enables him to rescue himself. Indeed, nature often presents humans with challenges within their abilities.

The approach to the theme relates to that of other artworks covered in textbooks. Social nature serves as the foundation of the theme. Human beings are sentient creatures and often depend on each other for survival (Hodges, 2014). The art initially portrays the two rovers to be in their heydays. However, the sequence of things is disturbed when one of them falls in the hole. Getting trapped in the hole can be attributed to the regular plights people come across and instead expect assistance from others even before trying to rescue themselves. However, the minor problems we fall into may invite greater harms and thus call for immediate responsiveness. In such cases, the captives are forced to scrutinize all possible approaches of fleeing themselves. The outcome is one easily achieving something that previously seemed impossible. The drawing has vibrantly depicted how challenges arise and the unpredictable ways of concurring them.

I choose the theme because of its simplicity in expounding. It liberally offers endless approaches to assessing the phenomena. Additionally, the theme offers ample ideas to create a substantial art. I was able to use color and variations in drawing sizes and shape to depict nature through daily life.

Step 3b

The apparent theme in the above art is the theme of looking outward. The art uses a photograph to cover a cloudy beach environment. The near ground is sandy while the far ground is cover by water. The size of the water body seems endless while as the sky interacts with the horizon in a clear perspective. Average sea waves approach the mainland from a far distance. It depicts that the photographer was inspired by the regular happenings around his/her ecology. One can with no trouble apprehend the artist's sphere is geographical. Likewise, the artwork can also be symbolic. The ocean horizon depicts the immense volume of many other things that can be adventured. Viewers may spend much time staring the art to capture a glimpse of any visible object.

The art shares a theme with several other arts covered by text books. The theme of looking outward is often vibrant in many works of photography. Photojournalists work to obtain fantastic captures that appeal the viewers (Shields, 2014). The horizon is a symbolic meaning of looking outward; viewers visualize what is hidden beyond of it. It may spur more people to the adventure of what is beyond the visible capture. The photo induces a feeling of exploration in me. It often reminds of the childhood days when we made regular family trips to public beaches.
