Multicultural materials

In our society, multiculturalism is prevalent in many areas. Diverse people have different cultures, whether they live in one nation or the entire world. Their economic practices and understanding of their own culture encourage the development of multiculturalism. Culture will constantly depend on and change in accordance with a nation's diverse population. The impression of persons as belonging to several categories might be multicultural. First, multicultural society includes members of different racial groupings. Different racial groups each have unique performance and religious practices. Some races have an innate sense of superiority. The superior races typically triumph over the lower ones. Superiority has a detrimental effect on people. It leads to discrimination that deters the growth of the economy. Additionally, racial discrimination infringes the rights of people. Similarly, access of public services becomes very difficult. A country cannot grow if such discrimination is entertained. Secondly, cultural groups form the basis of multiculturalism. Culture varies from one tribe to another. They have different beliefs and the way to do things. It is constituted by the traditional ways of different tribes, for example, circumcision, and other norms that surround a tribe. The culture forms a foundation of different groups of people that have a common link. The connection between the groups and other culture should in some way be correlated. Religious groups are groups that have a common belief in a superior being. They have their own perception on the cultural existence that is followed mechanically. Some extend their belief on the elders who help in formulating the policies. Multiculturalism generally is based on how different communities perceive their culture. Religion acts like a check for all human activities. It helps control how human beings conduct themselves in the day to day life (Shohat & Stam, 2014). 





Magazine post

Twist magazine overlooks on different aspects. These aspects are mainly directed towards the betterment of the teens. Above all the magazine tries to sharpen the teen’s ideas in fashion industry and any upcoming gossips. Based on popular celebrity couples and fashion there are many ideas to be included. The content of the magazine is quite educative and widens the teen’s scope in the world of fashion. The fashion is based on the trending garments and other clothing materials for example clothes. My opinion is on decency and the culture should be considered when changing fashion. To the targeted population, more emphasis should be made on proper selection. Fashion has transitioned the old fashioned generation to the new generation. Furthermore, the teens are exposed to peers’ pressure that pushes them to make right or wrong judgements. Some gossips that trend in the magazines are not suitable. The gossip content should be thoroughly scrutinized to help eliminate the wrong content that may instil bad character. Teen magazines should not incorporate stories on couples as they portray a wrong picture. The magazine should contain educative messages that will encourage the teens to have a morale of learning. The fashion part should not display half-naked pictures of people. It should display the morals that will not keep the surrounding community away. The magazines should promote culture by including the various practices within the communities and also for purposes of learning and appreciating other people’s culture. Displays of drawings that reflect proper and decent appearance of the culture should be included in the magazine. Couple stories should not show any immoral character and behaviour that will lead to distortion of teen character (Twist, n.d.).
