One of the factors of change is demographics which is strongly related to stress management because it influences nurses' ability to sleep. Particularly, nurses must function in accordance with their professional training standards, which leaves them with limited free time for rest. Therefore, in order to successfully manage stress, nurses should be given additional days off from work.

Market changes have an impact on public hospitals because of the resulting cost-shifting influence (Wang, Jia). In the case of the increase in workers, there is a likelihood the increase in the deductible amount from their salaries is the cause for stress. Hence, reducing the deductible amount will help in managing this stress. The socio-political factors affecting the stress management in public hospitals is the type of insurance policy the patients receive. It is highly dependent on the marital and economic status of the patients, and by adopting an appropriate policy for all patients, then there will be a positive impact in the program.
Adaptive change is useful in managing stress in public hospitals as it entails the need to foresee the future which in the process leads to the process of evolution. Hence, the new experiences occurring in public hospitals embracing adaptive change will lead to creating more value. The innovative change model lays emphasis on timeliness, simplicity, productiveness, assessment of the stress management program in public hospitals to improve its effectiveness (Suinn, Richard M.). In particular, the introduction of innovativeness in the patients’ care will reduce the stress levels among patients. Radically innovative model is the most suitable for complex changing process related to stress management in hospitals. The Lewin's Change Model is also useful for stress management in that it creates empowerment through its motivation and learn-unlearn model.
