Jane “Bitzi” Johnson Miller

Texas includes a government, a political party, and a leader that will prioritize the interests of the people. Texas' rich American history has consistently praised the state for its desire to nominate officials who are personally accountable and responsible to the voters. Jane “Bitzi” Johnson Miller appreciates Texas for its inhabitants, riches, cuisine, industries, social lives, and cultural diversity. Bitzi supports the Texas conservative platform, which adheres exclusively to the initial purposes of the Declaration of Independence, the Texas and United States Constitutions. Bitzi was born in West Texas and raised there. Like any other citizen of Texas has encountered the social and economic challenges in this state.

Having grown up in a ranch in west Texas, Bitzi is well aware of the reasons why the sovereignty and freedom of the people of Texas must be conserved as a way of honoring the great people that played a critical role in serving and protecting the freedom enjoyed today and years to come.

Bitzi honors the critical role played by the family unit in bringing up morally upright and responsible citizens who are productive to the society. Being a divorced mother of two grown children, Bitzi knows the challenges faced by parents in raising children in a state facing critical issues like school dropout rates and an insignificant percentage of needy school children receiving subsidies. As a matter of fact, I in 5 children living in Texas are poor. Similarly, of the 1.6 million Texas children eligible for child care, only 8.2% have the privilege of receiving subsidies (Lo, 78). Being a mother, Bitzi and the greater Republican agenda has these children at heart.

Texas needs a governor with practical experience in handling business issues and the challenges associated with such issues. While Texas is one of the best places to invest, electing a governor with prior experience in running a business goes a milestone in helping investors t7o identify and rectify flaws in this sector. Having started and run a software company in Dallas since 1993, Bitzi possesses the economic knowledge needed to drive Texas towards economic productivity. It must be noted that Bitzi grew the fortune of this company from $ 100 as a start up to $ 2.5 million before selling it to Dell in 2014.

Cultural and Regional Support

Political culture refers to shared frameworks of beliefs, habits and behavioral beliefs that relate the politics of a government and its people. The political culture embraced by Texans has gone a long way in affecting the limits of governmental authority, how the government and its citizens relate, the responsibilities of the government and the rights of the people of Texas. The people of Texas boast of a great sense of state identity attributed to its distinctive political history and culture (Stanley, 438). With a greater percentage of its population being rooted in a rugged individualistic, the southern part of Texas a traditionalistic political culture. According to Lo (87), this phenomenon has made its people develop individual liberty. Being individualistic in their political upbringing, Texans need a governor, who will strengthen policies that encourage individual freedom in doing business and high levels of self reliance as opposed to government instilled projects aimed at destructing individual freedoms. Having run a software company of her own in Texas, Bitzi has demonstrated her knowledge of what Texans need; a government that enables its people earn a living rather than a government that imposes strict regulations on its people through over taxing and strict control of peoples’ affairs.

Bitz is expected to perform well in all regions supporting individualistic political cultures as opposed to the southern region that embraces a traditionalistic belief. With a greater percentage of Texans living in urban areas, most of these people are immigrants who need to be cushioned against the southern traditionalistic cultures that split people into social hierarchies. However, Bitzi intends to create an all inclusive Texas that connects the agricultural rich southern regions to the industrial rich North, the whites and blacks, the rich and the poor and men and women of Texas. Bitzi boasts of the strong historical Republican support of this area. Having won the gubernatorial primaries by 65%, she is expected to gain a lot of support from a larger part of Texas particularly the northern, eastern and western parts of this state. Having worked with immigrants in Dallas and Houston, Bitzi enjoys enormous support in these regions. These two regions are rich in the number of republicans moving from other states looking for well paying jobs. Bitzi is a strong Christian and embraces Christianity values and ways of life. She has been on the forefront in spearheading evangelical Christian virtues like prayer in public schools and anti- abortion campaigns. This gives Bitzi a great advantage in gaining votes from the Christian population.

Demographic Support

Bitzi enjoys great support from a population drawn from varied ideological, economic, gender and social upbringings. Having worked with immigrants for many years, Bitzi is expected to gain a lot of support from this group of citizens. In particular, she is expected to control about 85% of the Hispanic votes and about 75% of the African votes. Bitzi enjoys enormous support from the youths and women. With these groups of people accounting for the greatest percentage of Texas’ population, it is expected that Bitzi will perform well. It is expected that the low and the middle income earners will support Bitzi in this race. This is attributed to the fact that in the past five years, she has been among the great figures fighting for anti-oppression regulations among people of these economic classes. She is also expected to gain great support from the business community. This is due to the close relationship she has established with fellow business people in Texas while running her software company. Media in Texas is well established. The campaign team hopes to reach a greater population of Bitzi’s supporters through social media, television networks and public rallies. Public rallies will be used to attract the low and middle income earners and most immigrants (Campaign, 1).

Campaign Themes

Preserving the Freedom of the People of Texas

Texans have enjoyed their political social and economic freedoms since this state was founded. Bitzi and the Republican agenda have the freedom of the people of Texas at heart and hope to strengthen it. Bitzi reaffirms Texans of the sovereignty of their land as reserved by the constitution of the United States under the 10th Amendment. With Texas being a republican state, Bitzi will strongly advocate for enactment of legislations that oppose, nullify and ignore all legislations mandated and imposed by the federal government which may infringe the rights of Texans as provided for by the 10th Amendment. Bitzi is aware of the negative effects brought by socialism. As a matter of fact, socialism goes a long way in breeding mediocrity. Texas and its people are exceptional. For this reason, the Republican Party and Bitzi oppose all forms of socialism in Texas.

The Judiciary and Judicial Reforms

Bitzi strongly appreciates the role played by the judiciary in interpreting laws. We believe in our judicial systems and strongly support the right to selecting judges through direct votes. Similarly, Bitzi fully supports legislations that act against judges who have been defeated by the electorate from holding judicial positions as visiting judges or assuming the positions of acting judges until the time they will satisfy the electorate through subsequent elections. Justice needs to be put back into the initial civil justice systems. For this reason, we shall endeavor to support the continuation of the common sense tort reform.

Strengthening Families and the Family Unit

Bitzi supports the definition of marriage as God-given, moral and legal commitment between man and a woman in their natural upbringings. For this reason, the Republican agenda strongly opposes all acts that may act against legal marriages including the judicial activists’ assault on marriage. Bitzi supports all acts strengthening and affirming the traditional Judeo-Christian values of the family unit and strongly opposes all movements assaulting these values. The challenges faced by single parents are fully recognized. Bitzi applauds the efforts made by parents in all capabilities in bringing up homes and families that are stable and moral.

Win or Lose

Over years, The Republican Party has strengthened its presence in Texas. This was proven in 2014 when Gregg Abbot won by a landslide against Wendy Davies. Gregg succeeded Rick Perry, another Republican in 2010 (Arlette, 1). Since 1990, Texas has not elected a Democrat Governor after Ann Richards. Bitzi, being a Republican is expected to perform very well in the Republican dominant Texas state. Like Gregg, Bitzi needs to adjust her campaigns to match the changing demographics of Texas through incorporation of technology as a way of gaining a better public opinion. The campaign team targets voters whose attributes reveal some levels of similarity to those of Bitzi’s supporters. These groups are then put to continuous refinements on different data media (Christy, 1). With these initiatives, the campaign team is able to update all supporters as voters. With women, youths and Hispanic immigrants being the greatest target for Bitzi, we are hopeful that she is going to be the next governor of Texas.
