Recycling generates markets for metal, glass, and paper in addition to using fewer natural resources than producing new products. The establishment of a new recycling program that accepts plastic from patient care areas may seem fairly difficult. Successful actions of such recycling plan can heavily raise the amount of waste material recycled. Research Study Methodology
This research study will be an empirical analysis by a questionnaire and interviews. Primary data will consist of interviewing key employees from the health care sector, public waste organization, and environmental organizations. Data analysis will be based on the contents of all written information sources, questionnaires, interviews, and correspondences with. Secondary data collection will consist of acquiring public health documentation and formal studies and research studies. Estimates of waste materials from the three largest hospitals and the two largest laboratories will be used to determine the total amount of medical waste produced.
Quantitative Analysis and Questionnaire
The methodology for this research supports a quantitative character. As a quantitative analysis, it performs a systematic and in-depth research approach for managing medical waste. To facilitate data analysis, the questionnaire was developed. The essence of this questionnaire has been incorporated in this research. This questionnaire was developed to evaluate the current situation of medical waste management and to determine the potential quantity of medical waste. Its focus is on the feasibility study for processing or not processing this incineration project for medical waste of the hospitals and other health centers.
Conclusion and Proposal
At the end of this study, I intend to setting up and managing an incinerator for medical waste treatment for hospitals and laboratories in an environmentally responsible and well-controlled way. The objective for this study is to decide whether to proceed with or reject this proposal. In terms of qualifications, I am a graduate having pursued a diploma in clinical medicine currently a public health officer, and I felt to undertake the initiative of coming up with this proposed study.
