The feeling people have when using social media is the increased overstimulation when they come through various content in social media. As a graphic designer, I feel the need to do appealing designs and increase the number of views on my wall and other sites I may need to share.

The idea behind the concept of designs is the change in the type of files people can upload over the internet. From the advent of the computer revolution, uploading a content required specific formats of an image or video. If it failed, then nobody would access them. Additionally, specific players were needed for such files (Rawshorn 91). Today, as Ronald (253) indicates there are software converters and plugins on various social media sites like Facebook to change images and videos to acceptable formats for the people. With the computer and mobile phone revolutions, these are readily available and used by the social media subscribers.

Rawshorn (97) admits that apart from the easily accessible files, graphic designers develop attractive and appealing files to keep people glued to social media and other internet sites. Beauty captivates and arrests anyone's attention in social media. No individual can outdo the effectiveness of social media in advertising. Business leaders and managers realized that people spend much of their time in social media. It is competitive and runs from the inclusion of video and photography content for the people to identify with. The advantage of such advertisements is the increased perception to the customer, which adds to their likelihood of looking for the details in such ads. While doing these ads, people spend less or no money to pay the sites. It is only the designers getting paid for their work. Additionally, most social media sites like Facebook and Twitter have the ability to share content with other people. The more shares an individual has, the easier it is to advertise. Having understood the concept of a product and the needs of the clients, I fine-tune my design to address their issue in a way that is more attractive.



Challenges Faced by Graphic Designers in Social Media



The disadvantage of the graphic designs going on social media is little appreciation in the current days. Most people come across graphic designs, may ignore them or use for their benefits without payment. The graphic designer continues with the work and identifies the needs to do more advertisement on media. Ronald (251) identifies it as a continuous process, which social media users ignore as they come across infinite numbers. Consequently, the concept of using more designs in social media starts to lose meaning. In these cases, it becomes difficult to achieve the market target through social media. It may call for more platforms of advertising to increase the market attraction. Furthermore, more designers, some of whom are advanced, resort to using social media and increases competition.



The Impact of Graphic Design on Career Choice



The effects of graphic design to career choice are the expanded burden and imagination. One must remain sharp and show superior ability to entice users in social media. Most individuals spend much time in doing graphic designs, changing them from one style to another, to increasing the number of followers. These waste time and the likelihood of winning better services lacks in people. Rawshorn (214) adds that faint-hearted people may give up on this type of advertisement because of this cumbersome nature. Regrettably, it is the direction that social media, which one must remain active in and play their game well is taking.



The Future of Graphic Designers in Social Media



The future of graphic designers in using social media is to win and keep more customers. The world is rapidly shifting to digital, and more people will be using social media. There are opportunities of social media becoming more formal and strict regulations imposed on graphic designs and content (Rawshorn 89). It may get pricey for more people. However, the environment will be for the strong hearted and lucid designers to keep the competition.

Graphic designers increased the use, attractiveness and the abundance. The beauty in the designs captures more people. The disadvantage is the rising competition in these cases, which subject graphic designers to be more articulate in their styles. In the future, the use of social media may increase and win more markets, if it becomes formal as well.
