I was ecstatic to learn about The Center for Strategic and International Studies’ efforts to arrange a symposium on malaria control measures. Before attending the event, I knew very little about Malaria and thought it was a disease that only existed in developing countries. However, after listening to Mr. Chris Pau lead a panel discussion on US leadership in Malaria eradication, I now have a comprehensive understanding of the disease (“ASTMH And CSIS: Alan J. Magill Malaria Eradication Symposium | Center For Strategic And International Studies”). He is well-known for his work as a leader in the development of new malaria drugs and vaccines. Likewise, his research is mainly focused on the resistance of Malaria prevention has widened my understanding of the disease as I now know that it is a process and should be improved further. I plan to use the knowledge gained in doing more research to find a solution for this problem.
