equality between companies

Become a spokesperson for the customer or the industry. Prepare a point that explains why you favor either the customer or the industry.
There are various businesses around the world whose aim is to make a profit after satisfying the demands of their clients. However, not all businesses are treated equally and others manufacture goods that are toxic to consumers. One such business is the beer industry, which has long been a source of concern for the public (Sheth & Sisodia, 2015). This is because the kinds of products they supply induce addiction which keeps them coming back for more since it is hard to rid them of the alcohol. For long now, many individuals have argued that the buyer should be held liable for the decision him /her makes regarding purchasing the product that is of no health benefits (Sheth & Sisodia, 2015). In most cases, buyers are enticed to go for more of alcohol through advertisements they view. In most cases, they show that consuming the product has benefits associated with it including confidence and courage.

Considering advertisements are deceptive, if the customers were left to make decisions on their own without being misled, it would be right to argue that they should be held liable for their decisions to consume such products. However, such is not experienced in the real world. Many companies have gained entry to the market exacerbating the issue. An increase in the number of businesses supplying alcoholic products means that there is a reduction in the market size each company controls. This calls for advertisements that are misleading than guiding customers (Sheth & Sisodia, 2015). The problem gets worse because every business that deals with alcoholic products is aware of the dangers facing individuals who consume such products, and yet they keep misguiding the unsuspecting buyers. Even with the knowledge of the adverse effects associated with consumption of alcoholic products, it becomes difficult for the buyers to resist them. With this mind, producers always play with the weaknesses human have in resisting addictive products (Sheth & Sisodia, 2015). It is not a wonder they have shifted their focus to the youths who are at times unaware or ignorant of the adverse effects of such products. The young generation is known for resistance which is used companies as the strength against them.

Explain the role of capitalism plays in corporate decision making

Capitalism is critical when a corporate is making various decisions which are guided by the ability of the stakeholders to control investments. By definition, it is an economy where individuals are empowered with the capacity to own economic resources and make their decision effectively with the aim of meeting their interest (Allen, Carletti & Marquez, 2009). In other terms, it is a liberal market economy. Capitalism is a valuable tool in that companies can make decisions that could help improve the quality of products. Life is made the balance between different aspects.

Discuss if you believe it is possible for a company to cater to the both its best interest and that of customers conjointly or if one always has to prevail. Justify your response.

In business, it is critical to have the balance in that a company can and should strive to strike a balance between its needs and the expectations of its customers. The interest of the firm as well as of clients can be achieved conjointly in a win-win situation (Allen, Carletti & Marquez, 2009). The company’s interest is to make as much profit as possible. On the other hand, the benefit of customers is to have satisfaction for the services and goods they buy and therefore improving customer experience. When this is the situation, their loyalty, spending, and brand recommendations increase (Allen, Carletti & Marquez, 2009). Therefore, the two forms of interests can coexist without imparting negativity in any side.
