Last May, President Donald Trump stood in front of a crowd for the first time and declared that he would boost and facilitate trade between the United States and Asia. Many Americans' dreams were restored as a result of his efforts. For several members of Congress, progress in 2017 would be a top priority. Primary legislation on international trade Congress is necessary by the constitution to enact such legislation (Swift, 12). According to the author of this paper, greater economic growth and sustained development in America are heavily reliant on Asian economic powers' growing prosperity as a result of their dominance in economic independence. In the American Constitution under the powers of Amendment, gives Congress power to allow or not an American country to trade with other nations (Swift, 15). Hence, America Congress has been passing foreign trade policies since the Trade Act of 1781 was passed into law according to this article (Swift, 17). As well pending in congressional consent on the Trans-Pacific Partnership that is significant trade agreement between Asia and the United States, has been a number one priority of White House.
According to Swift, Trumps presidency has been trying to block that trade agreement which is under Congress scrutiny. The article, Active Shooter Event Severity says that some part of Asia particularly Japan has reached trade agreements tying up what has been seen as the toughest economic Rivalry between the two countries. However, the current Congress under a constitutional power Act number 2 of Foreign Trade will reconsider such deals under the current government and prove some.
In conclusion, this article talks about how the current trade agreements that were made under Obama administration and those yet to be done are placed under congressional scrutiny.
