Discussing Schizophrenia

Schizophrenia is a disappearing idea. Schizophrenia is an illness that affects how an individual acts, thinks, and feels, and has been studied by psychology for decades. Unlike Kraepelin, Eugene Bleuler included psychoanalytic influences into schizophrenia, significantly altering the definition of schizophrenia. As the primary symptoms, he chose autism, affective incongruity, ambivalence, and association difficulties. While autism spectrum disorder is a neurological and developmental disorder that lasts throughout a person's life, it begins in childhood with a variety of conditions characterized by challenges with repetitive behavior, speech and nonverbal communication, social skills, as well as unique strengths and differences (Strauss, 2017).  Arguments that schizophrenia is a distinct disease have been totally undermined and more suggestion on the concept of psychosis spectrum disorder which is also argued to exist along a continuum concluding schizophrenia is the severe end of a continuum or a spectrum. The concept still helps define a group with particular health needs, the concept coming to an end is a good thing given that it will be easy to diagnose the disorder as the symptoms will find the concept useful. Treatments can be easily administered to the patients undergoing the given symptoms (Gilbert, 2017). The end of the schizophrenia concept led to more intense research on the disorder and that leads to more resource and time investment to bring about better result. More focus on the symptoms of the continuum to avoid the error of mistaking symptoms for the symptom in the process of treating the disorder. Through the abolishment of schizophrenia more steps are made towards the identification of cases and more reasons to and more new schizophrenia discovery could lead to a cure for the disorder. The concept arising provides better ways to help the suffering victims. The concept of schizophrenia dying does not mean that it is no longer helpful to researchers as a research are based on that as the foundation. (Van, 2017).
