In 1973, the first prototype of a portable mobile phone was released, titled Motorola DynaTAC. It is believed that this phone was used for the first call on April 3, 1973, Martin Cooper, phoned his competitor from AT & T, Joel Engel (Agar 13). DynaTAC weighed about 1.15 kg was 22.5 × 12.5 × 3.75 cm in size. Until 1983, 5 prototypes of DynaTAC were created. The beginning was laid and the development in this direction still continues. The market offers several models of this cell phone (Agar 14).

A year after the launch of Ameritech Mobile, the first commercial mobile phone company in the United States, the subscriber base of the operator grew to 12,000 subscribers (Fischer 24). For comparison, today AT & T, the largest mobile phone operator in the US, serves 72.9 million regular customers. In the US, there are more than 262 million mobile users, accounting for 84% of the total population of the United States (Fischer 25).
