A Business Philosophy

Success in the Banking Industry

Success in the banking industry depends on one's ethical behavior. Ethics describes a person's moral compass and what drives them to do what is right or wrong (Zetter 440).

Ethics in Stock Trading

In fact, most people are unable to distinguish between being ethical and being opportunistic. For instance, when it comes to stock trading, people want to have the advantage to increase their wealth by a few dollars or to occupy an area that nobody else would. Insider trading should be used sparingly and not for selfish reasons (Boatright 152).

Impact on Finance Class and Related Classes

This paper evaluates how my study of finance ethics will impact on my attitude in the finance class and how it relates to other classes held in the past.

New Dimension of Stock Trading and Financial Management

Learning about finance values has created a new dimension of stock trading and financial management. I have also understood how I should conduct myself in the investment world. The finance class will hence build in me the skills that will promote my success later in my career.

Fairness in the Marketplace

The public has been accustomed to believing that the only way to acquire the best shares of a company is by engaging the inside players to get the best information (Boatright 152). There is, however, a need to have a level ground and promote fairness in the marketplace. Indeed, fairness should be exercised in the way the stocks are priced and the ability of prospective investors to evaluate the value of a company's stock.

Relation to Business Ethics Class

This class relates to the business ethics class where the lecturer taught on how business people ought to conduct themselves. There is a need to have openness in the business world if entrepreneurs aspire to succeed when dealing with clients. There is, therefore, a need to ensure that the clients understand the value proposition of a company and the products. Ethical considerations also apply in the way companies reveal the ingredients within products. I have therefore realized that finance knowledge is indeed the pillar of every success within a society. Good trading and business practices, however, calls for one to have an unwavering character that seeks the best for the society.
